Pinata Bucks isn’t your traditional online slot machine. It spans 8 reels across, running 3 down on the farthest two reels at each end, and expanding to 4 high on the central 4 reels (3-3-4-4-4-4-3-3). That center 4×4 section acts as one symbol position all its own; a feature Lightning Box has patented under the name “Reelfecta”.

If any single symbol that lands in that 4×4 section matches up with symbols from the left to create a winning combination across, it initiates a win. Each of the 16 symbols in the Reelfecta can be used only once per winning combination. It makes for a unique design, and increases the payout potential to 1,296 ways to win.

Symbolically, the mariachi, dancer, lizard and bottle of tequila are the highest paying symbols, with A, K, Q, J and 9 on the lower side. The desert sunset is the wild, and the pony pinata the scatter. Wilds substitute for all standard symbols to assist in paying out the highest possible win.

Pinata Lock Spins Bonus Feature

The pinata scatter is responsible for triggering the game’s special feature, the Pinata Lock Spins Bonus. When 6 or more bonus symbols appear anywhere on the reels, 6 Lock Spins are awarded. Lock Spins are free spins that take place on the Reelfecta. The central 4×4 grid of reels enlarge to cover the screen before the spins take place.

During the feature, all pinata bonus symbols that appear will lock into place.
