Bwin.Party signs Key Deal with Online Slots Platforms Microgaming & iSoftBet
Early this year, GVC Holdings solidified a deal to acquire bwin.party, one of the fastest growing online casino brands in Europe and beyond. Since then, the company has worked diligently to secure new contracts to increase the brand’s European and international presence in the digital gambling market.
This week, GVC took anther big step in that direction, signing deals with two major online and mobile slots developers, Microgaming and iSoftBet. These contracts will greatly expand its offerings throughout Europe, especially for the company’s online casinos in Spain, Belgium and Bulgaria.
Bwin.party Extends Contract with Microgaming
GVC already had a provisional contract with Microgaming that saw bwin.party integrate more than 600 of the Quickfire platform’s digital gaming titles. However, due to licensing restrictions, that deal excluded some of GVC’s regional clients.
The new contract will assimilate Microgaming’s Quickfire portfolio of online and mobile slots, table games, video poker variations and more, onto bwin.party’s online casinos in Spain, Belgium and Bulgaria. Those customers will now be able to play all of Microgaming’s most popular titles, like Tomb Raider, Hitman and the ‘Star‘ series of athletically themed sports slots (Football Star, Basketball Star, etc.)
Liron Snir, Chief Product Officer for GVC Holdings, explained the significance of the regionally-extended contract with Microgaming.
“This is an important supply deal for us that will significantly enrich the quality of our games portfolio in the Spanish, Bulgarian and Belgium markets,” said Snir. “Signing a marquee name like Microgaming is a major boost to our positioning in these key strategic territories and is transformative to our casino portfolio.”
Loraine Schoevers, Director of Microgaming’s Prima Networks, was equally enthusiastic about the new partnership.
“We are delighted to have agreed a deal to supply bwin.party brands in Spain, Belgium and Bulgaria with gaming content through Microgaming’s Quickfire platform,” she said. “Building on our extensive work with other operators in these jurisdictions, this is an exciting development for all concerned, not least the players, who will soon be able to enjoy a more diverse selection of quality online slot games.”
40+ New Mobile Slots From iSoftBet
GVC also negotiated a multi-year contract with 3D mobile slots brand, iSoftBet, to integrate more than 40 of the developer’s Flash and HTML5 based gaming titles across a vast number of its regional gaming sites. With offices in London and Luxemerg, iSoftBet’s software is licensed in the UK, Alderney, Belgium, Italy, Portugal and Spain.
iSoftBet’s game portfolio will be amended to the existing menu of GVCs regionally eligible brands, including bwin, CasinoClub, partycasino and Sportingbet. It’s projected that bwin.party will see the biggest boost in revenue from its Spanish and Italian operations.
“This is an important step in fulfilling our vison[sic] to transform our casino offer to one that is best-in-class,” Snir eagerly commented. “It is particularly pleasing that players in growing regulated markets such as Spain and Italy will now have access to the fantastic content iSoftBet have developed through our sites.”
Head of Business Development at iSoftBet, Michael Probert, shared his company’s excitement over the new deal, as well.
“We are delighted that GVC has selected us as a partner and we look forward to integrating our unique content into their platform,” said Probert. “Our partnership with GVC will definitely help us grow even further in regulated markets.”
