In years past, Real Time Gaming (RTG) was one of the most recognized developers of digital gambling games. If there’s one thing RTG does well, it’s aesthetics. The visuals and cinematic animations built into Storm Lords are fantastic. The game takes players on an adventure into a time of ancient Chinese legend, when warriors, priests, and emperors were equally revered.

Storm Lords is almost a Japanese anime style game, issuing a traditional storyline to the classic style of artistic animation. I would have dubbed it such if it weren’t for the realistically rendered facial features (i.e. the eyes aren’t large enough to qualify as anime). Otherwise, it fits the description well, featuring two larger-than-life warriors, a mighty emperor, a lovely princess, and the kingdom’s scholarly priest.

Storm Lords Online Slot by RTG

The new Storm Lords game is equipped with 5×3 reels and 50 pay lines, offering a bet range of $0.01 to $2.50 per line ($0.50 to $125 at max lines). It’s compatible with all major desktop, mobile and tablet devices, and comes with a long list of features to be enjoyed. However, as is so often the case with RTG slots, the variance and RTP are unknown.

Symbols include the pair of warriors, emperor, princess, and priest on the high end; ornately Oriental playing card values of A, K, Q, J, 10, 9 on the low end. Two special symbols include the golden treasure coin and the emerald green amulet, each capable of triggering the game’s most lucrative features.

Treasure Coins Feature

When 6 or more gold treasure coins appear anywhere on the reels, it initiates this feature. Three re-spins are awarded. If one or more additional treasure coins appears within those re-spins, the re-spin meter resets back to +3. This continues until 3 consecutive re-spins occur without any additional treasure coins appearing, or until all 15 reel positions are filled with treasure coins.

If the spins end with 6-14 coins, all prize amount displayed on the coins are added together and paid out. If all 15 positions are covered with coins, the grand jackpot is awarded.

Free Game Features – Player’s Choice

When three or more scattered amulets appear in the base game, the player gets to choose one of two free games features to play; Wild Reels or Treasure Spins.

Wild Reels Feature: The player receives 6 free spins with one of each Storm Lord occupying the second and fourth reels, top to bottom (i.e. all of reels 2 and 4 are wild). This feature can re-trigger, adding 6 more free spins if 3+ amulets appear. The Treasure Coins feature can also activate during Wild Reels free games.

Treasure Spins Feature: The player receives 6 free games with treasure coins held on all three positions of the fifth reel, thereby greatly increasing the odds of triggering the Treasure Coin feature. These free spins can be retriggered, adding 6 more spins for landing 3+ scatters.
