Where can you find the best mobile casino of 2017? EGR says it’s LeoVegas.
Every year, the online gambling industry looks forward to several big award ceremonies. The annual EGR Operator Awards are among the most esteemed of all. They were held last Thursday, October 26, at the Grosvenor House in London.
Unlike many awards, which mean a lot more to the businesses working within the industry than the players, most of the 2017 EGR Operator Awards can be quite telling for online gambling enthusiasts. One in particular is highly encouraging – the EGR Mobile Casino Product of the Year Award. That prestigious title went to LeoVegas.
Best Mobile Casino 2017
Not too many categories generate the buzz that mobile casino gaming does. It was recently noted that mobile gambling is finally overtaking the desktop gambling industry. With so many advancements in smartphone and tablet technology, that isn’t too surprising.
LeoVegas took an interesting approach in 2012 when it first launched its iGaming services. The company focused on a “mobile first” product; something no company before them had ever attempted. It’s proven immensely successful, skyrocketing them to one of the top internet gaming brands in the world within their first two years of operation.
One of their crowning achievements has been the integration of multiple software systems. Not just a few of them, but a vast multiplicity, encompassing 39 different brands (and growing). These include the biggest industry names like IGT, Microgaming and NetEnt, as well as smaller companies like ELK Studios, Evolution Gaming and Yggdrasil.
Bigger doesn’t always mean better, though. One of LeoVegas’s smallest software licensees, ELK Studios, was bestowed with the honor of EGR’s 2017 Casino Game of the Year for its November 2016 release of the Wild Toro Slot. ELK is only employed by a small segment of the global iGaming industry, making LeoVegas was one of the top sites to play this highly esteemed game.
One of Many Awards for LeoVegas Mobile Casino
Not surprisingly, this isn’t the only award has LeoVegas received. It’snot even the only one of 2017. At the annual International Gaming Awards (IGA), held in February at the same Grosvenor House location, the company received the title of 2017 Online Casino Operator of the Year award as well.
In 2013, EGR named LeoVegas the top Innovation in Casino. Then in 2014, it won its first Mobile Casino Product of the Year award, as well as the Innovation of the Year in Mobile and Tablet award. 2015 came with a trio of awards, including Slots Operator of the Year. Another 9 awards came trickling down in 2016.

EGR doesn’t just honor the best mobile casino products. There are further mobile categories, such as mobile bingo, poker, sports, and overall mobile operator of the year. Oddly enough, the Mobile Operator award went to a company that did not win any of the mobile product-specific categories.
In 2017, the mobile product awards went to:
Mobile Bingo Product of the Year – Mecca Bingo
Mobile Poker Product of the Year – The Stars Group (PokerStars)
